COMPETITION NOW CLOSED – Thank you to everyone who entered the competition. You can read all the entries on our website at: deepdalecamping.co.uk/tales/deepdale-short-story-competition-entries/
To celebrate the new addition to our campsite, Parsons Bush, we are asking you to speculate on its name with a short story.
Like many field names, the reason for the area being called Parsons Bush is lost in the mists if time, so in 100 words or less we’d like you to tell us how it got it’s name. The funnier the better, smutty/carry on absolutely fine (although they may have to be redacted when we post them online!), don’t let us hamper your imagination. All genres welcome. Was it a medieval drinking spot, a local Parson who liked pigeon, the site of the first Norfolk alien sighting?
The judges will be the Deepdale Crew, and the best stories will be posted on our social media and website.
The winner will receive a coveted Deepdale Footprints Hoodie from our Teemill range.
So get that imagination flowing, and send us your short story about where the name Parsons Bush came from. Entries need to be submitted by midnight on Sunday 10th November.
