Thanks for listening to the third in our collection of special Deepdale Festival Podcasts in 2024. Jason is your host for this episode.
In this episode Jason chats with Kathryn Williams and Dan Willson (aka Withered Hand), who perform on Friday. With Polly Paulusma, who performs on Sunday. And with Jess Silk, who also performs on Sunday.
Enjoy this episode, and look out for future episodes which we’ll release shortly.
Kathryn Williams & Withered Hand
Friday – Orchard
Kathryn and Dan (aka Withered Hand) are a relatively new collaboration, two superb musicians who have loved creating together. They recorded their album in Edinburgh, and Dan is wandering those streets while he chats to Jason. The album recording was just before Kathryn chatted on this podcast last year, the album is now in the world, and their set at Deepdale Festival is part of their busy Autumn schedule.
Kathryn Williams & Withered Hand play the Orchard on Friday of Deepdale Festival.
Polly Paulusma
Sunday – Orchard
Polly, who has joined Jason on the Deepdale Podcast previously, has just reached a huge milestone with fundraising to develop a triple vinyl album. An absolute indulgence, but as they discuss, art is not meant to be practicable.
Polly Paulusma plays the Orchard on Sunday at Deepdale Festival.
Jess Silk Trio
Sunday – Orchard
Jess joins Jason from the Black Country, chatting about how the Jess Silk Trio came about, her writing process and her love of playing at festivals.
The Jess Silk Trio play the Orchard on Sunday at Deepdale Festival 2024.
