Welcome to the February 2020 episode of the Deepdale Podcast.
Georgie and Jason chat about a few of the events coming up this month, including the beach cleans and the beauty of this place at this time of year.
Jason chats with Nathan (the newest member of the Deepdale Crew) and a few of the conservation weekend volunteers about the work we did on the farm earlier in February.
And yes it has been pointed out to Jason that he should have said copse instead of coppice, they are both conservation terms, but mean quite different things. Coppice is essentially harvesting of trees, for example willow, when you cut down the tree to just above ground level to encourage regrowth, and Copse is a small piece of woodland, which is of course where Jason was standing when interviewing. He realises his mistake now, and the whole Hedge Collective were very quick to point out his rooky mistake!
Georgie and Jason chat about the newly refurbished cartshed private rooms. They are lovely! And we might just have mentioned our superb 3 for 2 Offer during February & March.
And then Georgie and Jason look ahead at events in the diary that we are excited about, including the Great British Spring Clean, and the brand new Deepdale Beltane.
After a small technical issue, Simon joins Jason to talk about the essence of Deepdale, working at Deepdale, and the new Hammock Camping area.
We finish with a wonderful track by Katie Spencer, who is performing this month’s Sunday Session. We chose Weather Beaten, because this podcast was edited while Storm Dennis blew in.
