Deepdale Podcast – September 2020

Welcome to the September 2020 episode of the Deepdale Podcast. Chat from Georgie, Nathan, Jason and some guest interviews, about life, the universe & everything around Deepdale.

Nathan and Jason kick off this episode with Farm Chat, chatting about life here, and the 4D chess game they are currently playing, while working out the transition to organic for Deepdale Farm. The production of Deepdale beer & flour is on their minds, Deepdale wheat is currently being milled at Letheringsett Mill. Don’t miss Nathan’s now famous impressions, including Homer Simpson, a Swallow tour leader, and a Clapham hipster. (That will all make sense when you listen!)

You’ll hear the creation and launch of Wild Wednesdays, which are the new conservation events at Deepdale, working on the hedgerows around the farm. Dates for the diary are 13th & 27th January, 10th & 24th February, and 10th March 2021.

Jason interviews some of the Pop Up Shop artisans at Dalegate Market – Paul Macro who takes beautiful landscape photography of the area, Di Woodburn of Creakey Crafts, and James Buttifant painting penguin cartoons.

Georgie and Jason chat about some of the events taking place this month. Anish Kapoor Exhibition at Houghton, Pop Up Shops at Dalegate Market, Norfolk Churches Sponsored Bike Ride 2020 (please cycle for St Mary’s Church, Burnham Deepdale), Norfolk Coast Dark Skies Festival which has become a virtual event for 2020, and the Geese are coming!

Enjoy the lovely new intro piece from the ever lovely Jess Morgan, one of Deepdale’s lovely musician friends. Gorgeous, thank you so much for your creativity.
