None of us here at Deepdale can quite believe that the Festival is less than a fortnight away. Infact at this time in 2 weeks (8am on Sunday morning) the last day of the Festival will be beginning, the smell of breakfast will be in the air, Hannah Birtwell will be about to perform the first set of the day, and we’ll be enjoying the hangover from an amazing Saturday with more than 15 acts including Man the Lifeboats and Kitty Macfarlane, while eagerly awaiting the sets of Martin Carthy and Gentlemen of Few.
Chris has put together an incredible line-up, with amazing folk artists at the heart of the programme. You should see the excitement in Chris’ eyes when he talks about the talent we’ll be hosting.
In Chris’ own words, ‘the best original musicians from East Anglia and far beyond’, and he isn’t blowing his own trumpet. Many of the acts are nominees or winners of BBC Folk Awards, and many are BBC Introducing acts who most definitely stand out from the crowd. This is a line-up for music lovers!
Naturally we’d love you to join us, as you don’t get this quality of line-up at a small rural festival very often. Tickets start at £12.50 for adults, with Weekend Day Tickets just £35, really amazing when you could see more than 45 highly talented acts. Ticket availability is minimal, so don’t assume you could buy tickets on the day.
There is no more accommodation available on the Festival site, but there is a list of accommodation in the local area that has let us know they have availability.
