Huge pride in the Deepdale Crew today, as Deepdale Farm has been nominated and shortlisted for a British Farming Award – the Diversification Innovator of the Year (large) Award.
We nervously await the final in October, but for the moment we’d like to thank all the crew, the customers who have supported us and continue to do so, the contractors and friends who have helped us build (and repair), the musicians who’ve played, the street food vendors who have cooked, and all the other mix of individuals and companies who have joined us on the journey so far and into the future.
‘On a personal note, I’d like to thank Chris and Alister my business partners. Chris particularly for training the crew, and instilling customer service at the heart of what we do. Alister (Dad) for his belief and financial support in what we do. And to all our crew, farm or tourism, who support our mad ideas, believe in where we are going, and entertain us along the journey route. Thank you one and all.’ – from Jason
Deepdale Farm has been shortlisted for doing diversification differently. For the customer service of our wonderful crew, the way in which we work cooperatively, for the music we host and support, for the events we hold that support so many artisans and producers, and for Deepdale Visitor Information Centre that is available to guests, visitors to the area and local businesses to promote themselves.
Congratulations to all the other finalists, both in our category and in the wider competition, so many exemplar farming companies. Full details of the finalists can be found on the British Farming Awards website – www.britishfarmingawards.co.uk/finalists/
Fingers crossed for October, thank you to everyone who supports us in any which way.
