Deepdale Backpackers & Camping set to host their 2nd annual Music Festival

Just one week from now, over the weekend of 28th to 30th September, Deepdale Backpackers & Camping are set to host their 2nd annual Music Festival, showcasing the cream of East Anglia’s live music artists. Taking place in the small village of Burnham Deepdale, located on the beautiful North Norfolk Coast, there are over 30 acts ready to entertain the crowds, along with local food and drink, and a range of workshops and activities.

East Anglia is home to some of the most talented and creative original musicians in the UK, and the Festival is Deepdale’s expression of support for these largely unsigned artists and the fantastic music they bring to life, while putting on a great show for their customers. A wide range of genres is represented from more traditional folk and country right across to rock and even post-punk!

Festival Music Director Chris Haycock enthuses about the lineup, “The reason for organising the Festival is our love of great live music in Norfolk, and we are incredibly lucky this year to have the most wonderful selection of artists playing, with the brilliant Vagaband, electrifying Thinking Men and jaw-droppingly good Shackleton Trio heading up a bill that also includes Alden Patterson & Dashwood, Das Fenster & The Alibis, Tilly Moses, Sam Coe & The Long Shadows, Lisa Redford and The Mojo Preachers. These are quality artists, based in East Anglia who deserve to be seen and heard by many more people. It’s something we’re really passionate about and is why we put on our music events here at Deepdale.”

With less than a week to go until Deepdale Festival 2018, the excitement is palpable.  So much amazing talent in one tiny village, more acts than residents, a huge celebration in the beautiful surroundings of the North Norfolk Coast.  Whether you are joining us on Fabulous Friday, Scintillating Saturday, Scrumptious Sunday or all three days, you will not be disappointed by the music on offer. The full line-up is on the festival website, with information about each band, the stalls of the festival village, and the other entertainment taking place throughout the weekend.

“I’m immensely proud of what we’ve created here at Deepdale. Our crew are passionate about customers enjoying their visit at any time of the year. That ethos is the corner stone of Deepdale Festival, and feeds into the bands who perform and the stall holders who make up the festival village. We’re looking forward to seeing old friends who follow so many of our Deepdale Music events, and new visitors who have only recently discovered our venue on the coast.” says Jason Borthwick, Managing Director. You can feel the passion when both Jason and Chris speak about the accommodation at Deepdale and the music that they host throughout the year.

Accommodation on the campsite and in the backpackers hostel has been sold out for some time, but there are a limited number of weekend day tickets still available from either the Festival website at www.DeepdaleFestival.co.uk or by phoning the Box Office on 01485 210256

Deepdale Festival, an amazing weekend of live music, takes place in Burnham Deepdale from Friday 28th to Sunday 30th September.
