These two have a catch up while sitting in the sun at Downs Barn. They chat about Nathan’s den, work being carried out by volunteers on Wild Wednesdays in January, February & March, about hedging, bird feeders, and Nathan gets very excited about sheep, the first grazers on Deepdale Farm for many a decade.
North Norfolk Wildlife

Oli gives you a guide to the wildlife you can see here in Norfolk Norfolk currently.
The big flocks of geese begin to head North to Scandinavia and then onto Russia. Big movements of sea ducks, waders. Finches start to pair up. Good time of the year to see short eared owls, hen harriers and merlin.
There have been lots of sightings around Burnham Deepdale of a White-Tailed Eagle, from the Isle of White re-introduction programme. Oli describes it as a flying barn door, the 3rd largest bird of prey in the world … hard to miss.
You can pop into One Stop Nature Shop at Dalegate Market any day to learn more about the wildlife of the local area.

You may have already seen the lovely safari tents up on Woodview at Deepdale. They’ve been irregular visitors over past 4 years, then in 2021 they joined us all Summer, and in 2022 they’ll be with us from Easter to at least the end of September.
Proper luxury camping, with the amazing setup by Gin & Mark, the perfect option to camp if you don’t like the setup.
David’s Beer Push

Our friend David from Moon Gazer Ale (Norfolk Brewhouse) is heading out on an epic fundraiser, pushing a barrel of beer from the brewery in Norfolk to St Bart’s Hospital in London.
Brilliant cause, raising awareness of this killer disease, and we really hope you can help David fundraise. He’s about 55% of the way to his target.
