Thanks for listening to the Deepdale Podcast, produced by the team at Deepdale Camping & Rooms, Deepdale Farm and Dalegate Market in Burnham Deepdale on the beautiful North Norfolk Coast.
Festival Goers at Deepdale Festival
Jason chats with various music fans and Deepdale team members during Deepdale Festival, discovering their favourite aspects of the festival and the artists they most enjoyed seeing. These include lots of people too slow to run away from the microphone, David from Outline Magazine, Kate from The Nest, and Jess Morgan.
David from Moon Gazer Ale – Its On The Ball Testicular Cancer Charity
Our lovely friend David, who runs Moon Gazer Ale, has been fundraising for It’s On The Ball charity, which raises awareness of testicular cancer.
David pushed a barrel of beer from North Norfolk to London earlier in the year, raising thousands for the charity. Next year he has an even bigger challenge planned, running 7 marathons in 7 days, pushing a barrel of beer.
Ellie Gowers
Shortly after Ellie performed a wonderful set at Deepdale Festival 2022, Jason caught up with her for a chat. They talked about gigging, how the creative process works for her, and the impact of covid on that process.
Sam Kelly
The morning after Sam’s brilliant headlining set with Jamie Francis on the Orchard Stage, he chats with Jason in the Courtyard at Deepdale Festival about the creative process, how lockdowns affected that, and touring in Denmark.
Toast Poetry
While relaxing in the Orchard at Deepdale Festival, Jason chats with Lewis and Daisy from Toast Poetry about creating original personalised poems for festival goers and duelling in poetry slam downs. They brought people to tears with what they wrote, in a good way!
North Norfolk Wildlife Update
A massive thank you to Oli from One Stop Nature Shop for giving us a wildlife update. He chats about the birds and animals you might see this Autumn here in North Norfolk.
Remember One Stop Nature is next door to Deepdale at Dalegate Market, and they are open 7 days a week. Pop in to ask questions about what to see in the local area, and see their amazing range.
Rural Crafts & Conservation Volunteering at Deepdale Farm
Anna and Jason chat about rural crafts and conservation volunteering at Deepdale Farm.
This Autumn Richard Rood returns to the farm with his green woodworking courses. And after a 3 year break the conservation weekend returns.
There will be many other courses & activities being added to the calendar over the next few months.
And Anna wonders if there are other organisations who would like to run courses at Deepdale.
Haunted Deepdale
Wednesday 26 to Sunday 30 October 2022
Jason chats with the team from the Slow Theatre Company, who are performing this year’s Halloween event – Haunted Deepdale.
You can expect spooky stories and laughter at The Ghosthunter’s Mark shows. And lots of great fun at the Children’s Theatre Party.
Taking place on the Orchard at Dalegate Market, this event is a great way to celebrate halloween.
