New Electric Hookup Arrangements

From Friday 24th March 2023 we are introducing new arrangements for electric hookups on our campsite.

When you book an electric capable pitch, you will have a 16amp electric hookup on the pitch.  Rather than charging you a fixed fee for electricity, you instead buy units of electricity you’d like to use during your stay.

You’ll be able to buy electric units, at the rate we are paying for them, from either the top up machine by the middle shower block or online from the comfort of your van or tent.

This will work out much fairer, as you’ll only pay for electricity you use, and much cheaper for those who don’t use much electricity.  This will also allow you to charge a car on your pitch if you need to.

Top Albums of the Year – 2022

As you know, Chris loves music, and so its become an annual tradition at Deepdale to ask him for his recommendations of albums from the year past.  He doesn’t disappoint, here is his list:

Kathryn Williams – Night Drives
The Shackleton Trio – Mousehold
Courtney Marie Andrews – Loose Future
Ellie Gowers – Dwelling By The Weir (Jason interviewed Ellie in the October podcast)
The Unthanks – Sorrows Away
Sunday Driver – Sun God
Man The Lifeboats – Soul of Albion (Jason interviewed Rich in the November podcast)

Bonus pick: The Last Inklings – The Impossible Wild (from 2021, but blew the Festival away this year with their performance)

Listen to what Chris thinks of these albums on the latest episode of the Deepdale Podcaast – Top Albums of the Year 2022

Christmas Albums

It’s advent, and who doesn’t like a Christmas related tune, so Chris and Jason chat about Christmas albums. Chris’ favourite Christmas song is Santa Claus is Back in Town by Elvis Presley, Jason’s is Christmas Wrapping by The Waitresses.

Being huge fans of Kathryn Williams, her Midnight Chorus album has to be on the list, a beautiful collaboration with Carol Ann Duffy.

To quench Chris’ love of prog rock, IQ’s Tales from a dark Christmas is an alternative recommendation.

And Jason recommends A Very Ginger Christmas from GingerDog Records, which includes many artists you may have seen at Deepdale. We finish the podcast with the beautiful track from Tilly Moses’ I’ll be Home for Christmas which is on the GingerDog album.
