Mini Deepdale at the Royal Norfolk Show

We’d just like to say what a pleasure the last few days has been working with our lovely friends from MarGins Walking & Glamping, Retro Campers Norfolk, Dalegate Market, and the Norfolk Coast Partnership.

It would have been quite impossible to build the Mini Deepdale without the fantastic team work.  And the break down, which is always the hardest part when you are tired at the end of the show, was amazingly smooth.

We met many lovely visitors throughout the two days of the show, saw many friends, and met fellow Norfolk colleagues.

Thank you to everyone who visited our stand, and to everyone who supplied us lovely food and drink.  Hushwings*, Pie Central** and The Duck Truck get particular mention, but the kettle in the lovely VW campervan of Retro Campers Norfolk was a life saver.  Also thanks to Lindsay from the Tourism Village for allowing us the space and the freedom to experiment.

Huge thanks to Playhouse, Niamh and Marina Florance for playing live on our stand at various points during the show.  Pleasure to see you all, and fabulous performances as always, even if Jason wasn’t quite supplying the quality of sound you’ve come to expect at Deepdale from Tim.  Thank you to Tim for being on hand with various phone calls and video calls to explain the sound desk.

The biggest surprise of the show was the winning of Best Tourism Stand at the Royal Norfolk Show.  We had no idea the award existed, so when stewards visited to present us with a rosette and certificate, we were just a little surprised.  The subsequent visit by the President and photographers was most welcome.

Our Mini Deepdale stand was about a group of connected businesses coming together to build something larger than the sum of their parts, thank you for joining us and all the work you have put towards the mad idea.
