The picturesque village of Ringstead celebrates it's 40th annual Open Gardens event this year. Twelve beautiful gardens will be open to the public from 11am.

Lunches (£10 per adult) will be served at Ringstead Bury between 12- 2pm (to book please ring 07770 262546). For those interested in history, the Norman Round Tower, which is all that remains of St Peter's Church, Ringstead Magna, is located in the grounds of the Bury.

Teas will be available at Westgate House from 11am - 5pm, where one can also enjoy craft stalls, a cake and produce stall, tombola and raffle (first prize either Lunch or Dinner for Two, at The White Horse, Brancaster Staithe). The very popular plant stall will be held in the beautiful garden of Apple Tree Cottage, which is a delight in itself to wander in. And on the outskirts of the village, in the Chalk Pit area of Ringstead Downs, there is the beautiful area created by the charity Woodland Gardens and Walks Group.

At 4.30pm, Lord Melchett will once again lead the popular and enjoyable guided tour of Courtyard Farm and Ringstead Common. Dogs on leads are welcome.

The theme of the Flower Festival in St Andrew's Church will be ‘Ordination Stoles', and the Church will be open on the Saturday, Sunday and Monday (24th to 26th June) from 10am to 5pm.

The Ringstead Art Group will also be holding an exhibition in the Village Hall on the Sunday.

Free minibus transport around the village is available, if required, on the Sunday. £4 admits to all locations, and proceeds go to St Andrew's Church.
