Holkham Hall is perhaps the only eighteenth century house in the country to have an entire wing dedicated to guests, or 全trangers' as they were called in eighteenth century parlance.
From the very moment of the Hall's conception, entertaining guests has been key, and under Thomas William Coke 双f Norfolk', Holkham became known for holding large scale events, where up to 500 guests would be in attendance. How were these guests accommodated? What did they eat? And how were they entertained? If you are arriving by car, please be aware that a parking charge of ｣5 applies (redeemable against purchases of ｣30 or over in our gift shop). Dogs other than assistance dogs are not permitted on this tour. This event lasts for approximately 90 minutes
