This year the event takes place some 6 weeks ahead of past years offering a whole new viewing experience of May flowering plants and with 3 new gardens bringing the number to a record 14, there will be a lot to explore. Gardens large and small offering treats of traditional beauty with deep herbaceous borders, established climbers and trees within carstone walls around manicured lawns to smaller cottage gardens each with their own special allure and spectacle. The delicious homemade lunches and teas will be available in the Village Hall Car Park with live music accompaniment where last year saw record numbers of diners. The typical British contingency of “dining inside if wet” will ensure no one is disappointed. The Village Hall will also exhibit paintings by local artists as well as in St Andrew's Church alongside the popular Flower Festival (open 10am – 5pm) which will highlight '70 Glorious Years' in celebration of the Queen's special Jubilee. Firm favourites like the Plant Stall run by the wonderful Bridget Crowfoot, Petanque, the Courtyard Farm Guided Walk, Ringstead Downs Woodland Garden, the Free Minibus around the village and Tombola, Raffle and Produce Stalls will also be on offer aswell as Art by local artists in the Village Hall and at Studios in Ringstead.
