Saturday 25th to Sunday 26th November 2023
11am-4pm
With a stunning historic backdrop and one-of-a-kind handmade offerings, West Acre Gallery's annual Festive Art Fair is a unique shopping experience.
Now in its fifth year, the event has become a fond family tradition. Here local artists set up shop in flint-walled barns surrounded by twelfth century priory ruins. It's the perfect place to support independent businesses; and this year the event is expanding.
Expect the usual ‘meet the maker' shopping with a range of affordable quality visual art, cards and handmade gifts, including paintings, prints, illustration, homeware, textiles, weaving, jewellery and ceramics. The Boston Travelling Tea Party will be parked up outside the gallery, serving home baked goods and beverages from their horse box café.
Across the yard you'll find several neighbouring art studios offering creative workshops all weekend. Make your own Christmas tree fairy using natural materials with the Fairyland Trust, the talents behind The Real Halloween events. They'll have drop-in sessions for over 3s in their new festive workshop.
Make a mosaic tree decoration in The Green Room with Carolyn Ash, or join artist Rosy Prue in The Prop Store for drop-in creative activities for all ages, and a range of prints, cards and gifts for sale. The nearby brewery and theatre will also open up for the festivities, and we hear a certain someone will be making an appearance.
Soak up the jolly atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of the high street while supporting independent businesses this Christmas. It's a fully immersive experience in a magical festive setting.
