‘When Worlds Collide' brings together three distinct visions of the Norfolk coastline, bearing witness to the creative talents of three artists using different mediums and spanning across nearly a century of work.

Heading the procession, the indomitable 95 year old local girl, Pamela Noyes who has been painting the Norfolk landscape in oils on canvas for as long as she can remember, which is a very long time.

91 year old Essex lad Colin Kent, who started painting as a ten year old boy, now using predominantly watercolour and collage, creating semi abstract haunting landscape vistas, has a background in architecture. Former president of the Royal Institute of Watercolour Painters. He declares every painting ‘an experiment'.

New kid on the block is former paparazzo photographer David Koppel, now turning his lens on the vast skies and dramatic land of East Anglia, after falling in love with the land following the illustration of Miles Hedley's seminal work on the Norfolk Broads, ‘Still Waters', back in 1999.

Koppel is the link that forges the partnership, having discovered Colin in a London gallery in 2002 and meeting Pam at one of his own shows held at the Morston Workshop back in 2008.

This exhbition marks the first time all three have worked together.
