Live music 7.30pm - Gates open 7pm
We look forward to welcoming back Norfolk’s premier folk trio return for a sparkling evening of original and traditional folk music in the Brick Barn.
'Songs that glide across land and water, history and the present' - Songlines
‘A voice entirely of their own’ - Mike Harding
‘Masterful’ - Folk Radio UK
'Spirited storytelling and timeless tunes' - Tom Robinson, BBC Radio 6
The Shackleton Trio play captivating songs and fiery tunes that combine mandolin, fiddle, guitar and banjo with powerful three part harmonies. The unmistakable sound of The Shackleton Trio brings to life the stories of their native East Anglia, and beyond. The trio features Georgia Shackleton (fiddle, vocals), Aaren Bennett (guitar) and Nic Zuppardi (mandolin and banjo). Collectively the band draw influence from British, American and Scandinavian folk traditions, whilst Georgia’s flair for sourcing largely unsung material from East Anglia keeps the band firmly rooted in their local tradition.
Adam Clark plays roots music with guitar, banjo and voice. After three decades of performing, recording and writing with various bands, exploring the rich traditions of American folk and bluegrass, West Africa, Gypsy Jazz, and his own songwriting, his focus is now on folk music with links to his native East Anglia and the wider British Isles. Expect varied repertoire that reflects this journey, performed with passion, improvisation and an eye for a singalong! His love of the natural world seeps into his music – he is currently working on an album inspired by the moths of Norfolk!
This Summer concert will take place in the Brick Barn, with a bar. Please bring snacks, but not drink as our bar will be serving beers, ciders, wines, spirits and soft drinks. This will be a fully seated gig (and you don't need to bring your own).
This gig is part of the live music offering at Deepdale Camping & Rooms - deepdalemusic.co.uk
Why not make a short break of this concert, staying before, during or after for a few nights, so you can enjoy the beautiful North Norfolk Coast. You can enjoy the great outdoors, watching some wildlife, walking, cycling, maybe some stargazing, or generally just enjoying this lovely part of the world, the big skies and calmness.
Deepdale is a small occasional venue for live music. Naturally if the event is cancelled, then tickets will be refunded. However, JBP Tourism Ltd will not be responsible for accommodation, travel or other costs incurred by ticket holders.
