Friday 28th to Sunday 30th September 2018
Friday - Backpackers Stage
Headlining our Courtyard Stage on the Friday evening are more Cambridge Folk Festival luminaries, the sublime Alden, Patterson and Dashwood.
Their music is an utterly captivating and beautiful blend of English folk and Americana, mixing self-penned material with intelligent and uniquely creative re-workings of traditional songs.
An incredibly busy year so far has seen them play at many of the biggest folk festivals across the UK; gain Radio 2 airplay on the Folk Show; release their second album, the critically acclaimed ‘By The Night’; be chosen as the BBC Introducing artist of the week with exposure across 30 regional BBC stations; and soon to come, embarking on a major UK tour supporting the UK folk legends Show of Hands.
Comprising the finely balanced talents of Christina Alden on guitar and vocals, Alex Patterson on fiddle and vocals, and Noel Dashwood on dobro and vocals, you really shouldn’t miss seeing Norfolk’s unassuming folk superstars on the rise.
This was the programme for Deepdale Festival 2018, our 2nd annual festival. We had a fabulous weekend, with an amazing range of musical talent including national and local bands.
