Backpedal is a five-piece folk rock band that has been conceived through the pure love and passion for music. The band consists of:
Andreas (guitarist) who has vast experience playing a range of instruments in bands both in the UK and Europe
Carol (vocals) an experienced soloist as well as being the lead singer in several Norfolk bands covering many genres including jazz, rock, blues and swing.
(Both Andreas and Carol also perform as a duo called Carpe Noctem.)
Andy (keyboards) is a very talented keyboard player with many years' experience playing throughout East Anglia.
Charlotte (vocals) has a voice that can adapt to any genre, with a passion for musical theatre she can also be seen performing at Cromer Pier Theatre.
(Charlotte can also be found running the Deepdale Music Festival merchandise tent)
Carl (percussion) along with percussion and being Carol's husband, Carl is also the producer of all the bands recordings. Backpedal perform a blend of original songs written by Carl, Andreas and Andy.
This is the programme announced so far, which we will continue to add to right up until the festival itself. Deepdale Festival 2023 is our 6th annual festival. We are looking forward to a fabulous weekend, with an amazing range of musical talent including national and local bands.
